Tales from the 21st Century

Tales from the 21st century is a collection of stories that follows a narrative in which the listener follows Sol as he travels through time during medical hypnosis. As Sol regresses, he forms memories; these develop into the stories into which the listener is drawn.

Young, gifted, and easily distracted, Sol Lidden seeks to vent his talents. His quest, fueled by large drafts of exotic smoke, leads him to an exclusive London casino that blurs the line between reality and fantasy. He soon finds that there is more to the place than hedonistic behavior, for beneath the lust and consumerism something much more sinister is going on.

This is a darkly humorous debut series from Edward C. Harwell. With razor-sharp precision and startling emotional insight, Who Is the Sun King? is a portrait of urban psychosis, garnished with details of a suicide, that quickly develops into Sol Liddens' struggle to find a way out of London's West End, which leads to a term in Clifton House Rehabilitation Centre.
