This is the first book in this series narrated by someone other than Pippa Jayne. It was interesting to see recent events (from marriage to Sir's injuries) from Master Anderson's point of view. We also get to see that he is not a monk outside of the training center since he has sex with some of the guests after the wedding and is involved in a new romance. The only drawback to this book was the fact that after 10 books and being so familiar with Pippa Jayne's voices for the characters, it was a little difficult to keep track of who was who. That's the good thing about having one narrator for an entire series but I understand why Red Phoenix chose to use a different narrator for this book since it is a different POV.

Narrator sounded like yogi bear and boo boo. I sometimes found it annoying. A lot of story line was in book 10

Laced that this was not a standalone and actually kept the original story going while learning more about Master Anderson. Narration was on point.

Unfortunately, I had no interested in hearing this story after being left with a cliff hanger on volume #10. So I ended up returning it and skipping to #16 and honestly I don't feel that I missed much. The books that I skipped seem more like spin off books. I may go back listen to them when I'm in the I don't want the series to end stage but throwing these stories in seem like injustice to the relationship we've built with the H/h of the Brie series. I understand that Red needs to eat but at $10+ a credit I get pretty impatient with wandering storylines. I would like to thank her for bundling the the first 9 books into 3 books. However, I was disappointed in that the volume 4 bundle is not on audible. All in all I like the series and the writing is good. I just didn't like the storyline change. I really like Anderson you just brought him out at the wrong time for me.
