I really liked the story and the large family of characters. This a 24 book universe surrounded around hot ass men and their code of living. Hunting down sinners while they’re no saints. The only thing I would like different is probably the narration. It’s only a male narrating ALL of the books and I could think of some really good ones that could pull this off. But hey, he did grow on me the last chapter or two. It’s so much better with m/f narration and now we’re getting spoiled to duet narration. But this author is really talented, so I have to go with it, or not if it’s that dang bad! Ha

The book was hard to get into. I was going to give up on it. But by chapter 6the story was filling out.It finally grabbed me. I did finish it and will listen to the other 2 books. Hopefully the others will be on audible soon. The female Beth is annoying at times . Wish it was a female. The narration voice is nice. Overall it is worth listening to.

Loved almost everything about it. My only issue is, Elizabeth's verbal responces to her relationship with Bishop seem almost childish. Responses and thought prosses along the line of a non-adult teenager. She was sheltered, but attended college, and had that exposure. Once in a while, her response is much more mature. The rest of the characters are lively, sexy, and

I had already read the book on my kindle so I was looking forward to listening to it. Should have found someone who could do a decent Cajun accent. Listening to the narrator butcher the words was the worst. Couldn’t get past chapter 10 and will not be buying anymore of the series on Audible.

Great story but need a better narrator

I first tried to read this book, but couldn't stick with. However, I was intrigued by the characters and storyline so decided to try the Audible version instead. Although some of the dialog is a little strange I'm enjoying the characters and family dynamic. Looking forward to the next book.
