This was a very good book and I love the Author Sara Fields, she always has amazing books! The narrator's did a awesome job as well. I am going to warn anyone who doesn't like or may get triggered by Spankings with an without the belt/ other objects. Don't want to give to much away for anyone who hasn't read/listened to this book, but it does have some very detailed sex scenes. Now what happens during thoses moments I'll let you find out, if you want to but if this stuff isn't for you. That's fine, everyone likes different types of books.

When Brooke sets up a meeting with Dominic with the intention of ascertaining whether or not he knew anything about her father's disappearance, she gets more than she was bargained for. Dominic agrees to help Brooke but vows to make her his. (Mostly) they work together to find Brooke's father, going through clues from business records and Dominic's multitude of contacts. I enjoyed that Brooke is smart and holds her own in business and uses her strengths to exploit other's weaknesses. I enjoyed that the mafia was the Japanese Yakuza and not the typical Russian, Italian or Irish mafia/mob. And OMG this book was on fire! Sexy and not for the faint of heart. In the process of trying to find her father, Brooke also finds her kink and her future.

I liked Heather Firth's narration for Brooke but John Solo's of Dominic was a bit jarring. His voice was a lot softer and higher in pitch than I was expecting. Not as deep and growly as I'm used to.

Brooke goes to Dominic's penthouse for help to find her father. He is an extremely powerful man. He ends up stripping her and destroying her clothes. Things take a different turn and get rough. He cruelly punishes her before pleasuring her. They both underestimated the strength of each other. She ends up doing something really stupid when they were in Japan looking for her father. She drugged him and left to meet a kingpins wife. Big mistake on her part. Initially I did not think this was a romance book but by the end, it is. This book has very intense sex scenes. Heather Firth did a great job with the narration but, in my opinion, John Solo's voice did not sound strong enough to portray the extremely powerful Dominic. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
