This is a pro hockey romance with darker vibes to it. The Hero is a stalker who will do anything to get the girl he wants, even if she fights him for about half the book. This does have some pretty intense trigger warnings, so please check them out before reading.

Narrators Corvin King and Alyssa Avery did a fantastic job on this book. Anything that Corvin King narrates is going to be amazing. He has the perfect bad boy voice and I honestly could listen to him read to me all day long.

Alyssa Avery did a great job narrating Cassidy. She had more of a deeper female voice, not boyish, just more tenor to it? She didn't sound like the sweet girl having a great time. Her voice fit perfectly for the heroine in this book.

Hayden is the bad boy in hockey who gets away with cheating on the ice. Known as the "Hit Man," he'll trip you, fight you and do some non legal moves on the ice. If the refs don't see it, is it really wrong?

Hayden gets a message on IG one day that peaks his interest, and when his team from Atlanta wants to trade him, Hayden suggest going to Seattle. They are a losing team he can help to win, and it just happens that the girl who messaged him, calling him a cheater lives there to.

Cassidy is a struggle business owner. Her families hockey bar was left to her and after borrowing $20,000 from her ex to keep her bar open, she is now selling content on OF in order to pay him back.

Cassidy's ex also happens to be the captain of the Seattle hockey team. After she caught him cheating on her with another woman in her bars bathroom, her ex has been hounding her to get back with him. All while he still continues to be a douche. Her ex seems to think he owns her bc she owes him money. But because of her ex, Cassidy now refuses to date hockey players, thinking they're all alike.

Hayden did a very great job as a stalker to figure out who the IG woman was and where she worked and lived. He was honest with Cassidy from the beginning with his intentions. He wanted her and he was going to get her at any cost.

She fought Hayden at every turn. He loves her fire and fight. Their spicy times were rough and they often left marks on each other. Cassidy was a take no crap kind of woman, my favorite kind of FMC.

At every turn in this book Hayden was doing something that wasn't morally right. He put fertility drugs in her morning smoothies, removed the protection during spicy times all to ensure he get her pregnant to make her stay. He would punish her by still doing OF content when he was gone for away games. So, he'd give her sleeping medicine without her knowledge and had his name tattooed above her privates. He'd use it to kidnap her to his house. Nothing he wouldn't do to get his girl.

Cassisy never laid down and took his crap once she figured out what he was up to. Like, one morning she made him breakfast and grounded up 4 blue pills in his protein shake and it hit him once he got to hockey practice. There was some really funny moments in this book, like this one. She refused to let him touch her to once he came home, and then his dad came over too.

Things I wish there would had been more information on in this book; the break-ins to her apartment. It never really touched base on who it was. I mean we could have guessed, but didn't actually confirm that. Hayden & Sawyer's father, I really would have liked to see more of that relationship. The author described how it wasn't a good one and if the senator couldn't use you for anything you were no good to him. But it was 1 chapter with the dad and it was bunched in with the blue pills moment. I wanted more to that, I guess. Oh and yes, his dad was a senator.

I love Sawyer! I really hope he has a book or gets one soon. He was Hayden younger brother by a year, but people often thought of them as twins. He is a doctor in training. He also love drama and helped his brother with his obsessive tendencies towards Cassidy. Like the fertility drugs, yep came from Sawyer, the sleeping pills, yep, Sawyer. But he didn't only help his brother, he helped Cassidy to to get back at Hayden. Sawyer was loyal to the end and I want his book.

If you want a darker hockey romance, I'd say give this book a try. It had some really great moments in it and was enjoyable. I wished there was a little more to it in some parts. It does have more darker elements towards the end with Cassidy getting kidnapped and almost unalived. There is an unaliving moment in this book. Hayden would do anything for his girl. Definitely and Insta love book for him. He knew she would be the one to ruin him the moment he met her.

Loved the story and Narration! Loved the obsession from Haydens POV and almost made me chuckle to be able to reason with his crazy. Hope we get his Brothers story or even the teammates. Loved it.

Hayden is the alpha you always knew you needed. He’s kinda perfect in that obsessive crazy “American psycho” kinda way. He claimed his girly and made her fall in love with his crazy. Cassidy is just a girl tryna just live life while trying to get her ex to leave her alone.
She’s a strong willed smart mouthed brat who likes all the punishments she gets for being said brat. I love them together.
