When it comes to romance books, I always get a little high and mighty. "Why does she need Jimmy Choo's?" "What's her fixation on the Fendi bag?" "Why can't I have a romance about real people--not a guy who can spend thousands and still be rich! Well, now I remember why.

First, this book is not told from his perspective. It is told from hers. Kirsten Leigh always does a fine job on narration.

Now the plot.

Initially, I loved this girl! Who tells an ex to get the heck out of her apartment by shooting a gun! But that was the best part of the story. She goes to visit her cousin and finds a man in the bed. Both of these fools are poor. She has to work at a truck stop and he's a trucker! No offense truckers, but trucking is NOT romantic--trucking is hot quick dirty (wiggling eyebrows dirty) sex!!!!

So I say to myself, is this romantic or hot quick dirty (wiggling eyebrows dirty) sex!!!! Aren't the regular people like me? Shouldn't I be happy about the regular people?

NOPE!

My advice to the heroine, "Girl, take him to bed and release him to the wild."

Sorry Ms. Graham and Ms. Hall--no dice. Trucking is s hot quick dirty (wiggling eyebrows dirty) sex!!!! Not romance!
