Yasmine

Pause, take a breath, and glisten... That's the better way to phrase Yasmine Brown sweating to death on her first hike, which is, obviously her punishment for being too cheap or too stubborn to buy the outdoor-loving woman she calls her best friend a stupid gift.

Most people are willing to accept her famous baked desserts as the perfect present. Unfortunately, that trick doesn't work when your best friend is also your employee. One little trek to make the birthday brat happy won't kill her, right?

Sutton

Halt, take a sip, oh no, she's slippin'...One minute Sutton Thisleton is having a drink, and the next he's helping the most gorgeous woman he's ever crossed paths with out of the small hole she fell into. Most people wouldn't see this as the right opportunity to grab a date. They also wouldn't wander from city to city because the wind seemed to shift them another direction one random afternoon. Good thing he's never been most people.

What will happen when these two opposite worlds continuously collide? Will they find a way to create a sweet, long lasting treat together, or will it end with one of them being told to take a permanent hike?

wanted more of the Irish accent from Sutton. heartbreak was real enough to believe the story line.

Nice to take a breather with a regular Joe as MMC. One who is not an alphahole, not a billionaire, and one who has things he dislikes about the fmc, and willing to compromise. Nice to have a FMC who is realistically insecure and not whiny about i, who has enough self worth to not accept poor behavior. No 3rd act break, 2.5/5 spice level, and no angst. Deffo recommend you read it, but narrators do an excellent job so listening was what I did.

Definitely worth listening to. Always loves the female performance. The male was not doing well with his accent. At the beginning came off strong but as the storyline went so did the male performance. I enjoy the characters

Wanted to give the story a higher rating but found some areas lacking. The lead male character was so interesting, could of used more of his backstory. The female lead was confusing at times. Her clothing choices, tattoos, mentioned briefly, and language especially in the beginning of the story didn’t match the savvy business woman she was.
At times it just didn’t seem as if they were two people who would have ever been attracted to each other because of her character’s inconsistencies at the start of the story.
In the end though I was happy they did. In spite of the rushed wrap up with Petal which included unnecessarily the humiliation of our heroine (any woman would have found being forgotten and ignored for 10 minutes right before her proposal hard to forgive), I still liked the characters and story. Should have been longer. Worth the credit.
