I have read many books by Tess Gerritsen, all of them more memorable than this one. I thought the narrator was depressed, as her voice seemed to drag me down. I may still read other books by Gerritsen, but romantic mystery is not her best look.

Not up to my expectations

Another well told story by Garrettson. As is the case in her novels, Gerritsen twists the tale to keep the reader engaged.

The storyline was predictable but I still enjoyed it. Tess has a way of keeping your attention and wanting more. The insecurity of the two main characters got to be a bit much, but was necessary for the story to work. I highly recommend it.

A fun read

I've read a bunch of books by Tess Gerritsen, and I really enjoy her medical thrillers. However, this seems to be more of a "Harlequin Intrigue" book. The focus is on the relationship between the couple, rather than the mystery/crime, which is not very engaging. And by "which" (in the previous sentence) I mean BOTH are dull - the relationship between the H/h and the mystery itself. I didn't like or dislike the hero and heroine...they didn't have much of an impression on me at all. I felt that the story dragged near the end, and could have been wrapped up more quickly. In fact, I felt that it probably could have been condensed to half the length that it was. Don't get me wrong - it wasn't terrible, but after reading Gerritsen's later works, I kept thinking about how much better her other books are (as I was listening to this one). I also was not a fan of the person reading the book; I've heard a lot of audiobooks and I think they could have chosen someone better. I was not impressed by her "accents."

Glad I read other Gerritsen books first!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Get rid of the sappy romance sections... keep the mystery and beef up the characters.

What was most disappointing about Tess Gerritsen’s story?

I knew i was in trouble when i discovered this was a Harlequin book. definitely did not realize that when i made the purchase. Love Tess Gerritsen and her characters but the name Harlequin implies long sappy mind numbing excruciatingly detailed description of sex and i was not disappointed ... and that is not a good thing.

I'd hoped for a solid thriller on par with Gerritsen's prior books ... NOT THE CASE! Nearly 40% of the book is taken up by either the two main characters fighting their attraction to each other or mating as a result of it. Personally, i would think that someone under the threat of a killer would have other things to focus on... but that is just me.

Opened my audible account to double check if other Gerritsen books are Harlequn. so far so good. will definitely check before ever purchasing futures books though.Cannot bear having to endure another like this one!!!

Have you listened to any of Montana Chase’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

don't believe i have, however, she handled the delivery of this book well. bet with decent material she would really rock!

Was Keeper of the Bride worth the listening time?

NO NO NO and by the way NO ... unless of course you are really into the Harlequin style of literature... I AM NOT!

SOOO VERY DISAPPOINTED
