Emily has it all - a high-pressure job, an eight-year-old daughter obsessed with ballet who may or may not have an eating disorder, and a demanding mother that always wants more. She finds some escape at her secret second job, dancing as the mysterious masked woman at an exclusive gentleman's club. Emily doesn't have the time or patience for a relationship.

Bolin Xia is one of the wealthiest men in the world. He comes to New York to close a deal and becomes smitten with the mysterious masked woman. Then, he meets Emily at the bank and can't shake the feeling that he has met her before.

Emily and Bolin discover that they have a rare passion together, one that could destroy a rich friendship. With both of them afraid to take the next step in their relationship, it looks as if they are doomed to stay friends. Then Bolin discovers Emily's alter ego....

I’m a little lost for words the story went by so fast. I guess it was OK.

Ok

it's good if you're cleaning and want something playing in the background. the voice actor did their best with what they had. the main issue is with the mother's. Emily mom wants more than what they can afford and most likely lonely. Bolin's mom wants more things to probably fill the loneliness of being in a home without her husband who travels all the time. maybe they both were trash before marriage but we'll never know. it ended on a decent note.
short reads are good but this wasn't as fleshed out as it could've been.

Too Short

The performance of this book is so flat and monotone. The reader sounds like she’s reciting a grocery list. There is no cadence or real character in her tone. It’s pretty insufferable.

The writing sounds like a 5 th grade book report. This happened this happened this description this happened. Ugh.

It’s only an hour and I didn’t finish it.

The reading of this book is so bad.

I had a hard time getting past the narration. She sounded like a robotic news broadcaster. Story was ok.

Ok story

This story could have been very good if the voice actor was better. She did not transition well, unless the writing was hard to transition. She had a very weird intonation when she read. It could have been better acted out. The story was short, but she made it shorter than I expected.
