great short story

I've read this entire series years ago and loved it so I knew I had to to get the audiobooks when they came out "FINALLY"! This story is so short it's hard to get into the story the way you will with the rest of the series. This book is more of an introduction into the Cascadia world and the history of the Pack. There isn't much meat to this one but I still enjoyed it. As all of these books are, this one was HOT!

The narration was pretty good. Tanya Eby doesn't have the voice for every audiobook, she has a very distinct sound so I was worried if she would fit this series and I was happy to hear that she has a little bit of a different tone in this series and it fit well with these characters!

80 minutes to go from insta-lust to insta-mate to insta-love.
3 naughty & detailed scenes (4 if you count the 10 second fade to black wolf on wolf nooky scene)
2 were-men in a MFM scene (what this series calls "tri-bonding")
1 surprisingly well-written novella ending in a HEA

This is an excellent smexy nightcap which convinced me to wishlist book 1. I was surprised by the quality of the dialogue and flow of the story, considering the nooky-focus. Is there cheese? Yes. But it's cheddar, so it's sharp.

it's a wolf thang

This was a prequel of a series. It was short and things moved a bit too fast, especially the “tri-bonding.” Didn’t believe the insta love. It was just A meets B and adds C. Steamy scenes were ok, narration was ok. I won’t be following the series.
