Dragon Shifter Novel

Dragon shifters are a dying breed. There are so few females left that if drastic measures are not taken, and soon, it'll be over for the species. The threat of extinction looms.

King Blaze finally accepts that there is no other option but to evoke an age-old tradition. The Hunt.

The eligible dragon shifter males must hunt a handful of females. It's first catch, first serve. The biggest problem is that the females are human. Despite feedback to the contrary, Coal thinks they are weak and breakable. In his opinion, not capable of surviving the hunt, let alone the mating that will follow. He doesn't believe that a lowly human is capable of birthing him a royal heir, so why has his brother, the king, tasked him with claiming one?

He can't believe this is happening to him. Especially when most of the males in their tribe are willing to accept one of these puny females. Not him. He's never rutted with one and doesn't have any desire, whatsoever, to rut with one in the future, let alone mate and impregnate one. Claiming one of these females will not be an easy feat considering there are three other dragon tribes vying for the opportunity. How the hell is he supposed to do all of this when he doesn't want to come within a mile of one of these unsavory creatures? Guaranteed HEA!

The story contains strong sexual themes/language and is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

I do enjoy shifter and paranormal romance. This is a story of dragon shifters who over time have less females and some are infertile. Compatible has been found with human females
Coal, prince of the fire dragons, is tasked by his brother Blaze to take part I. The hunt (an opportunity to ‘win’ a human woman but Coal is
Less then happy about it. He will perform his duty which becomes less of a duty once he meets Julie
Julie was taken without her knowledge by dragons to take part in their hunt. The dragons did have specific criteria, young enough to have children, no children of their own, no partner, and in circumvent their life that makes taking part in the hunt and if they choose to become a mate of a dragon shifter a positive experience. The dragon shifters are protective, do not physically or mentally abuse the women and
are quickly accepted by the women, except Julie.
Love the story, love the Mateo and can’t wait to move forward in the series

I have been meaning to listen to this book/series for a while and I just kept picking other things. Well, today was the day I thought why not?

It was pretty good the beginning was a little meh, but it picked up pretty quickly.

Julie, I liked wanted to make sure everyone was safe and ok, but she really gave Coal a run for his money. I kinda of liked that she didn't bow down to him right away and she made him work for it.

I think her past really had her second-guessing everything and everyone and that was a little sad.

I was not impressed with the King, and I hope he gets his mate soon cause he really messed up and almost lost Coal his woman.

The narration was 5 stars would recommend it!

The Storyline was rushed but seemed to have a good start. I wonder if this is just a highlight of a bigger book. I was disappointed I used a full Credit for such a short story. The Narrator’s were great. But the storyline could be added to and it would improve the quality of the series. I don’t plan to buy anymore as I see these books are about the length as this one. Unless, I see an improvement to rewrite this series.
