Elizabeth Evans to the rescue

She is the only voice that is perfect for SJM books. She will always be Ailen, Feyrah, Bryce to me.

Better than expected

Read this book on my wife's recommendation (for deciding on a group outfit theme for Renaissance Festival visits). This book is a lot less horny than I was led to believe, with a few fade-to-black scenes that happened at appropriate times - though I'm told it starts making up later in the series.

instead, this book focuses on grounded, detailed characters, well-paced action, and intrigue. If I had known this story's dedication to the world and it's inhabitants, I would have started this series much earlier. Gave me Robert Jordan vibes in the best way, but with its own flowing prose that rolls better off the tongue.

Gripping!

I laughed. I cried. The authors descriptions of scenery and colors made you feel like you were there. The narration was superb. Fabulous book. Can’t wait to listen in the series.

Wonderful fantasy

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas is a wonderful fantasy with lots of twists and turns and captivating characters. I simply love Feyre, she is brave and fights for what she loves. I really enjoyed the narration done by Elizabeth Evans.
