When a princess is kidnapped by an alpha, war rages between the humans and the wolves. But soon, forbidden attraction starts to grow…
Princess Aurora longs to escape the castle and the marriage that has been arranged for her.
But on the night before her wedding, at a dog fight where captured werewolves are made to fight for sport, she spares the life of a young wolf. It puts her on the radar of the powerful alpha who was going to kill him. And it changes everything.
That night, when the alpha escapes, he kidnaps her and takes her to the rugged lands north of the border—where the once warring werewolf clans are beginning to unite. He thinks that she is the key to winning the war against the humans.

Critic reviews
"Duet narrators Zara Hampton–Brown and Shane East pair well together in this romantasy set in an alternative Scotland. Princess Aurora rejects a loveless betrothal in England, instead making a pact with a Scottish clan leader who is a wolf changeling. Hampton–Brown uses an arch tone and a British accent for Aurora, a jaded campaigner who must quickly absorb the intricacies of pack law. East slips on a growly Scottish accent for Aurora’s wolf compatriot, as well as all the other personalities populating the king’s keep. The pair’s many conversations are seamless in the duet narration. As Aurora and her wolf await King James’s ruling on their pact, Hampton–Brown and East build the political stakes and the undeniable passion between the two, making their love story a wild ride."

So I happened across a review on Facebook. It was described as a mix of outlander (Jamie) and GOT, I was sold immediately.
I agree with the Outlander comparison but not so much with GOT. It felt more of an ACOTAR vibe. FMC reminded me a lot of Feyre and her journey to finding herself and her strength or even Violet from Fourth Wing.
I felt there could have been more world building/info shared because the story just kind of dumps you in the deep end and you have no clue what is happening.
I like Blake but felt he is predictable. I am hopeful that we get more of a back story on him and am excited to see what the connections reveals.
Overall I would give the
story: 4⭐️
Narration: 3 ⭐️ (the female narrator did great with Rory’s voice but the male voices made me cringe every time. The male narrator however, holy hotness)
Excited to see what happens next!
Male narrator can read to me anytime 🥵🔥

This is about a girl that has been an object to her father and he will marry her off to gain power but things take an unexpected turn and she becomes a prisoner of war. The drama, the humor and even the steamy parts and so worth every minute believe me when I say the banter is so good and there is some mystery, I think she is more than just a princess and so was her mother but I will need the next book because I don’t think I can wait until book two is on audible this is too interesting to wait until June 10th. Oh before I forget there is mentioned of child abuse, intention of rape, killing and bullying not enough to take away from the story but nonetheless is best if you know before hand. 🤗
