This was super cute! I’m actually shocked the author managed to surprise me with how Ryu ended up with Hank. It’s rare that I get surprised since I usually get an idea that something will turn out different than it does. I have heard of a lot of books from Layla Dorine and I thought I had read some, but apparently, this is actually my first, so I will definitely be making sure I check out more of her books!

With all the warnings Hank gave to Ryu, I was almost expecting something more from his past to pop up. I would say, even with how gruff Hank is, the book is definitely more on the sweet instalove side. Not that I mind, instalove is one of my faves. I think I just wasn’t expecting it based on how the story started off.

This was my first listen to this narrator, Lance Isley, and I would definitely listen to more of his narrations. I can’t even begin to say how many time I laughed before of the way he narrated some parts. I mean, he narrated the cat. THE CAT! I busted out laughing when he meowed. I mean, it really wasn’t that funny, it was more that I wasn’t expecting it. I laughed every time he did though, lol. I also found it hilarious when he tripled his voice to do the chorus of when three of the Little’s were saying yes at the same time. Ya, I busted out laughing then too.

Overall, I thought the plot was interesting, definitely not a situation I’ve read before, and it was an enjoyable read.

Lance Isley does a good job in distinguishing between the characters so you dont question whose pov or talking. at times it felt a little over narrated which took away some of the fun of the listening experience but not enough not to continue listening.

What Hank was not expecting for the holidays was a gift wrapped little at his doorstep but here we are. Ryu is the sweetest little who deserves the best daddy to love and cherish him and Hank however grumpy and stubborn he way be is just that. They have a few issues along the way, but thats growing pains for you. These two just compliment each other so beautifully you cant help but smile even when things dont go as planned. A great addition to the series. Wish I would have tried this author sooner.

I love this story. Hank and Ryu are so good together. I love the book of this story and now I love the audio book too. Lance did an awesome job voicing both characters, they both sound how they did in my head. I really enjoyed this book and you will too!
