Arrogant. Repulsive. Cocky.

With an ego almost as big as his… Well, you know.

There is no length he wouldn't go to score. To be in control. To win.

Life is nothing but a game to him, and I've become nothing more than his little pawn. Something to toy with. To taunt. To mess with. And to hurt.

The wicked smirk on his face as he helped upend my entire life is proof of that.

He wants to push me to my limit until I'm begging for reprieve. For mercy. Or for more.

Mateo Rojas is a force to be reckoned with. He's everything I should run from.

He will be my ruin.

Say My Name is an MM full-length, standalone novel featuring a hate-to-love, forced proximity romance intended for mature listeners.

When I first listened to a sample of this audio, I knew I had to give it a go with how great the voices were! Again, Samuels's and Wilder's narration for this book were amazing! Gruff, sexy, and brought out the life in the characters! Especially when saying some of the Spanish endearments/nicknames, very hot! Despite the wonderful performance by these narrators, my main issue was with the story itself pertaining to: {Wrong name used once, too many pity parties & poor choices, Travis was childish and annoying, repeat of words, and use of cunt/pussy without tiggers}. Overall, I would recommend listening to this for the smut and the awesome narration by this guys; minus the story plot line. Will be checking for this duo's narration in the future!

I’m not a fan of slow burns this could of went a little faster but it was funny so it kinda made up for it

I liked the narration

I actively disliked the MC until the 80% point. Casting of narrators was odd and not great.
Overall it was a lot of light bdsm seggs with very little substance or plot. This was a pretty basic story with pretty basic characters. Nothing remarkable or terribly enjoyable about it.

not great

This story had the potential to go in another (truer) direction, so I was disappointed when the author chose to scramble story development and character development of the two MC’s, Mateo and Travis. The author created what could have been epic BDSM, then threw whitewash all over it. While the sex scenes are arousing, salacious and smutty on the surface, they felt recycled, as did much of the dialogue. Unfortunately, these problems only make a good storyline a thin thread tying the sex scenes together. Injecting the song references are distracting and silly. It feels like the author didn’t use a professional editor before they published this story because there are several sloppy contractions. It’s a shame because this story would have been better developed and the intimate scenes possibly more believable. All that said, the ending ties it up beautifully. Both narrator’s give an adequate performance given the written dialogue.

Disappointed

Very unique -not so meet cute- so kudos for the author Ashley James - especially how she was able to turn it around so that we end up finding Mateo an adorable boyfriend...and the sexy scenes were friggin' hot! So far I've listened to 3 of her m/m romance titles and I have really enjoyed them - got several more in the wings that I am chompin at the bit to get to. Javi Wilder and Lee Samuels made the experience even more brighter.

4 stars - worthy of a repeat listen

Really enjoyed this!
