Another Cliffhanger! Hate cliffhangers. Viktor & Catrina’s story continues as a roller coaster ride. Viktor wants her submission and he believes in using his belt to strap her bottom parts. He doesn’t care that he embarrasses her, physically abuses her body and he is emotionally breaking her will. He continues to use a belt on her body while she is still recovering. MMC doesn’t give a darn about what kind of trauma she endured mentally and physically. He continues to add additional marks to the unmarked areas of her skin and suff in silence. UNCARING!
This is not a kink it’s degrading especially when he releases his cu* all over her face. He needs to be whipped around injuries and see how it feels. Catrina doesn’t want this marriage, doesn’t trust him and believes he set up her kidnapping. They don’t really communicate. I don’t think she is a strong FMC because she doesn’t do anything for herself.

The book was good but honestly, has anyone at Audible listened to the narration all the way through? OK, just skip to the sex scenes if you won’t take the time to actually listen to the book. They cause eye rolls. This book has better narration than the first one in the series but if I hadn’t already invested time in the characters I would just stop listening after the first time it read “couldn’t” as “could n apostrophe t”. Seriously, it read it just like that with the word apostrophe. I know there are book editors but perhaps there should also be better narration editing. Shaking my head.
