It’s like listening to a kid narrate the story! This is a grown up story! Other than that I love the story! Too short for me! I wanted more

(Gibson, Shelby & Ben): Gibson and Ben are from a pack that mates in pairs, meaning they share a mate. Gibson is the Alpha and Ben is the enforcer. While on business, Ben caught the scent of their mate and soon they were on their way to find her. Shelby works several jobs to help keep her and her mom's head above water. It was at her night job that she heard the growls of her mate. Only to find out, she had TWO mates. I loved that while this is a short story with insta romance, Shelby did not just jump at the chance to be with them and leave. The authors gave her very real human feelings where there was fear, concern, worries about money and her mom. It was very relatable. Though they still managed to keep it very paranormal and yes the romance (sex) is so 🔥🔥🔥 hot out will make you blush. I really enjoyed it. I just wished it were longer so that we could get a little more character buildup of the two males. It seemed to be focused more on Shelby.

I love the transition from the wolf ranch series into the 2marks pack. The only inconsistency I recognized was that in the wolf ranch series the point was stressed that alphas can only mate other alpha and that they are biological drawn to them to ensure the continuance of the pack. Yet Shelby is not an alpha female. The writer makes a point of stating the strict criteria for alphas during the first series. Do the rules not apply in this case? Do the rules change from pack to pack or alpha to alpha? Outside of that I think the story was great and I am happy to see Shelby get her happy ever after. After so many readings it is a bit disappointing to find the narrator is still pausing and shuffling over words as well as misplaced emphasis during the reading. It takes something away from the story when you have to replay and rewind constantly to get the full meaning. It was fine at first but we are about 7 or 8 books in she should be better at it by now.
