Anthony Mays was born and raised west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At seventeen he entered military service and went on to serve twenty years in uniform, including time as a Vietnam veteran. After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, he began a second career as a civil servant with the U.S. government. Today he draws on those experiences to write novels and short stories filled with compelling characters, real-world insight, and unexpected twists. Anthony’s fiction ranges from thrillers to imaginative storytelling, always with one goal: to keep readers turning pages late into the night. He is the author of the Neil Hammer Series, the Halfway Series, the Back Pocket Tales Series, and other works of imaginative fiction. His work has been recognized by the Illinois Authors Wiki, a project of the Illinois Center for the Book.
