I’m Bart Cassidy—an author, businessman, and retired NYPD police officer. During my time with the NYPD, I spent several years working undercover and investigating brutal homicides, always driven by a deep commitment to seeking justice for victims and their families. I had the unique opportunity to work on several high-profile cases as part of a secret unit known only to a select few high-ranking officials. One particular case has stayed with me for a long time, and it’s that story that finally inspired me to write a book. My debut novel, Twice an Assassin, is based on real events, though I’ve changed the names and some details to protect both the innocent and the guilty.
