Before her literary ascent, Brenda was a trailblazer in banking and insurance, rising to senior leadership at a local bank in Trinidad and earning international recognition as a top-tier financial professional. b. After she retired from Banking, she excelled in insurance, earning the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table qualification six times and a Life Underwriting Fellowship from the American College, USA.

Her writing journey began after surviving a near-fatal battle with cancer. That experience birthed ‘I Am Cancer Free,’ a bestselling memoir that won global acclaim. The book won an award in the Reader’s Favorite International Awards in 2018.
