I have done many jobs and travelled to all seven continents. Born in the East End of London, I now live in Scotland with my Scottish wife. After a degree and PhD in Chemistry, I served as a Police Officer before starting a career in education. As an officer in the Territorial Army I trained Cadets in basic military skills - retiring with the rank of Major. I have been on expeditions to Tanzania (to climb Kilimanjaro) and to Antartica. On leaving education I began writing Science Fiction and have completed two books of my planned trilogy. I have also recently written a 1984 companion novel, "To Hear a Mocking Bird".
