Caro Ayre - A childhood in Africa, followed by a move to a derelict house in Somerset, has provided me with a wide range of experiences. I currently run a Bed and Breakfast, and when the family and house maintenance are not demanding my attention, I spend time gardening, sometimes painting, but mostly writing. Writing satisfies my inquiring mind. I am always happy when I am learning something new. It does make me explore some interesting topics that end up being written about, turning me into a multi genre author of eight published books. Detective Inspector McKay Mystery series. The Mallaig Link, The Perfect Alibi, and Framed are all set in Scotland and feature D I Gavin McKay and his team. An African Adventure Series Feast of the Antlion and Reunion Safari are set in Kenya, where Sandra Harriman is faced with challenges to protect the wildlife and her guests and keep control of Ol Essakut a vast conservation project she has inherited. Women's Fiction Breathless is the story of a family in Crisis. It highlights how different members of the family deal with the fact that one of them has a life threatening disease. The strain takes the family to breaking point. Clare the mother fights to keep her daughter healthy and the family communicating when things start to unravel. Her husband is in denial, and her son is struggling with guilt issues because the genetic lottery spared him. It is not about the illness as much as the family dynamics of coping with Cystic Fibrosis. Never too Late is a heartbreaking .story about friendship. Fiona values her friendship with Sally so much she is prepared to sacrifice her own happiness to protect it. The question is can she live with the lies, or will they just lead to more lies and hurt other people? Crime Fiction Smoke Screen Luke Tanner is an injured fireman. He suspects arson, but his colleagues think he's paranoid. He is determined to prove there is an arsonist at large. His investigation puts him and his family in danger.
