Cathy Clay is a native of Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and earned a master’s degree in English from Texas Southern University. After numerous visits to New Orleans, she grew to appreciate the city's culture and history, which inspired, the novel, Agatta. Her critical literary reviews have appeared in scholarly publications.
