David Maywald is a thought leader who is courageous, inquisitive, forthright and family-centred. He is a board member, a proud father to a son and a daughter, as well as a passionate advocate for males. His calling is to spark transformational change for men and boys, with positive societal spillovers. He lives in the national capital of Australia with his family, following a lengthy career (with roles at J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse and BT Funds Management). As a lifelong learner, David has completed a double degree at university, qualifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst, plus multiple courses and programs. He has served almost 20 organisations in a governance capacity during the last three decades (which includes being Chair of a public company). David founded the Awards for Men in Leadership (recognising positive male role models) and Celebrating Masculinity (to inspire all men and boys). His writing blends research, lived experience and moral conviction, seeking to restore balance in a culture that has too often sidelined boys and men.
