March 2026 update... INVASION EARTH, in eBook format, is now available in a second edition, with much more text and added images. The best part… It’s still FREE on Amazon. Three years ago, Don Vodka had watched all the top sci-fi and time travel movies, but still hungered for more. She decided to write her own story, and that became INVASION EARTH, which led to what is now a 21-book ALIEN INVASION SERIES. Don wrote the novels so they read like movies, because that’s how she saw them in her mind. And how she wants them to end up… on the big screen. Or on TV, so you can hide under a blanket while watching them. How would she characterize her writing style? In her own words, “I started writing sci-fi, and that's what my first few series are. Science fiction, with a good dose of horror, lots of snarky humor, young people facing relationship issues, and always plot twists. My latest, in the same world, is a series called BAT - THE ALIEN BLOODLINE, and it starts off with elements of sci-fi and horror, but then becomes a paranormal romance. I wanted a series that was similar to Twilight, yet was totally different, if that makes any sense. Hope you like the books." Don also wanted to share a bit about herself here... “Hi, I’m Donnalee, and I call Nevada home. Sunrise may not be a real town, but I try to make it that way in my books. I put parts of myself into almost all my characters, but if you really want to know me, you should get a copy of Sterling ‘Silver’ Cartwright’s book called FOR THE TAKING. Although it's fiction, it was built around parts of my life. Just hidden. My scars have healed, and I want to emphasize the positive. One more thing… I’m NOT RUSSIAN. I support Ukraine, and can trace my roots back to Odessa, where my great-great-grandparents lived more than a hundred years ago. Where do I get the inspiration for my books? Well, what if I told you I live in a small trailer home barely 25 miles from Area 51, aka Groom Lake, and that after a few shots of tequila, the aliens start buzzing overhead? Always. I also pick up on a lot of creepy rumors in some of the diners in the towns of Tonopah, Rachel, and even Alamo, Nevada. The ‘men in black’ like to talk, and right after I scoff down my burger, I speed home on my bike and write it into my next book. Finally, a word of warning. Do NOT try to get into Area 51. It’s impossible. Except for me, of course. And keep watching the skies! Fox Mulder was onto something—and it wasn’t that stuff you can smoke. Or gummies.”
