J. E. Dyer writes in several different genres including romance, historical fiction, literary fiction, and Appalachian gothic. His award-winning fiction has appeared in various journals and magazines. One of his recent novels, Barons, was short-listed for the 2020 Chanticleer's Van Goethe Award for best historical fiction. He has also written for the Los Angeles Times where some of his fiction won their Reader's Choice Award for best story of the year. He is a member of the Romance Writers of America. When he's not writing, Dyer likes to read, study languages, play video games, and bake.
