Drawing on a background in the performing arts, design and marketing consultation, and motivational speaking, I author and narrate works of fiction and non-fiction. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in history at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where I then studied Asian history during a teaching assistantship in World Civilizations. My professional memberships include: Phi Beta Kappa; Phi Alpha Theta; the National Writers Union; Arizona Authors Association; Sisters in Crime. I am also a Lifetime Member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, Highland Dance genre. In my award-winning Natalie Seachrist Visionary Hawaiian Mystery Series, a semi-retired journalist explores haunting visions, puzzling deaths, and pan-Pacific history in the lush environs of Hawaiʻi. Through Natalie’s expanding visions and the broadening details of unusual crimes, she is aided by her clever and fleet-footed feline companion Miss Una, her life partner private investigator Keʻoni Hewitt, and his former colleague Detective Lieutenant John Dias of the Honolulu Police Department.
