John Martinka is known as The Escape Artist® because of the work he does helping clients escape their current situations. John is the author of five books on business buying and selling and has helped well over 150 clients get their deals done. As The Escape Artist® John is known for: - Creating large exits for small businesses® so the owner can exit their business with style, grace, and more money.® - Helping executives escape the corporate world by buying the right business the right way. - Accelerating businesses so they can escape their plateau, often via growth by acquisition; dramatically increasing the value of the company. His books are the roadmap to help clients get the results they want, with our guidance. With over 25 years of advising business sellers and buyers John has: · Analyzed over 1,000 companies. · Helped facilitate well over 150 deals. · Become a valued resource for our network of clients and advisors. · Been a “Breath of Fresh Air” to his clients as they seek to buy or sell a business. John also works with numerous non-profits and twice was a Rotary Club President. In 2005 he started a Rotary project in conjunction with the Bellevue School district to install computer labs in schools. Over 10,000 computers have been donated and installed in Slovakia, Turkey, and Antigua and Barbuda. Rotary’s philosophy is go narrow and deep so we keep helping the people of Antigua We’ve also been able to distribute over 9,000 dictionaries to third-grade students, and following Rotary’s mandate of “Training and Sustainability” we initiated a teacher training program so Antiguan teachers can better use technology to reach their students. We (John’s wife Jan) have also set up eight sewing centers, donated sewing machines, and provided sewing lessons to teach ladies living in high-poverty areas the skill of sewing (they use these skills to make their family clothes, school uniforms, and items they can sell). Every year, other than Covid, we escort 14 students to Antigua. Before going these students prep the computers in the Cisco Academy class. In Antigua they are hosted by local families, deliver the computers (lately 1,500 per year), and setup wi-fi networks in schools.
