Kelly Daugherty, LCSW, FT, is a licensed clinical social worker and Fellow in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement) with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families navigating grief. She is the founder of the Center for Informed Grief, where she provides training, education, and resources for school counselors, educators, and mental health professionals who support grieving children and families. Kelly also maintains a private practice in Malta, New York, where she works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing grief and loss. Kelly is the co-host of the GRIEF Ladies Podcast, where she and co-host Karyn Arnold answer real questions about grief, loss, relationships, and identity while offering practical tools people can actually use. Through her work, Kelly encourages people to move beyond outdated ideas about grief and instead focus on meaningful ways to stay connected to the people they love. Her Celebrate Their Life approach emphasizes continuing bonds, honoring memories, and finding ways to carry loved ones forward while living fully. She is also the creator of Healing Strides, a program that integrates grief counseling with walk/run-based therapy, and a speaker and educator dedicated to helping people better understand grief and find practical ways to navigate life after loss.
