Certified Meeting Professional, Mary Jo (MJ) Wiseman, spent 24+ years in the meeting and hospitality industry as a corporate meeting and event coordinator where she managed the full spectrum of the event planning process across all levels of management with an emphasis on high profile, executive level assemblies including senior management, Board of Directors and key customers (agents and brokers). She was actively engaged in Meeting Professionals International (MPI) throughout her career having served on the Education Committee and the Board of Directors of the MPI Minnesota Chapter. She believes strongly in the merits of the CMP designation and chaired a local CMP Study Group before sitting for and then passing the exam. Since leaving the corporate world MJ has stayed current in the industry trip directing and volunteering. She assisted the Development Team at WomenVenture, a local nonprofit organization that provides micro-financing for women starting or expanding a business on a volunteer basis for five years with their prospect research efforts and special projects. Today she is available for short-term consulting assignments and trip directing. She considers herself a lifelong learner (and a work in progress) and enjoys best teaching and coaching others by example. MJ lives in White Bear Lake, MN and enjoys spending as much time as possible (weather permitting), of course) outdoors.
