Micah L. Thorp is a physician and writer in Milwaukie. A lifelong Oregonian, he grew up in the shadow of the timber industry, a waning 1960’s counterculture and Ken Kesey. His novel, Uncle Joe's Muse won a Next Gen Indies award for humor and Foreword Indies Gold Award for humor. A sequel, Uncle Joe's Senpai was published in 2023. His other literary works have appeared in Blind Corner, Cleaver Magazine, The Fictional Cafe and The Write Launch. Dr. Thorp's novel Aegolius Creek will be released in 2025.
