Biography He was born in Magdeburg in May 1944. His creative talents became apparent at an early age. During his school years, he wrote articles for the school newspaper, drew with dedication, and worked with brushes and paint. In 1956, he moved with his family to Bocholt in the Münsterland region, where he grew up and began training in mechanical engineering, which he completed with a degree. However, instead of working as an engineer, he switched to the emerging computer industry immediately after graduating. He initially worked as a software specialist at Nixdorf Computer in Paderborn. In the 1970s, he took over as head of the software department at a branch office, and Mainz became his new home. The region had a lasting impact on him – not least through his discovery of wine, which he not only drank but also enjoyed. Professionally, he was drawn to the Nixdorf Training and Continuing Education Center in Mainz. As a guest student at the university, he immersed himself in psychological topics and developed into a management trainer. In 1978, he and a partner founded their own company as coaches and trainers. He worked with numerous companies in Germany and Europe, focusing on communication, rhetoric, presentation, creativity, and leadership. At the same time, he rediscovered his passion for writing. He wrote textbooks, founded his own publishing house, and trained as a director. He subsequently wrote screenplays, directed educational films, and also appeared as an actor. After the death of his wife, he met his current partner in 2012 and moved to Rüdesheim am Rhein to be with her. They have been married since 2018. His experiences as a father and grandfather led him to write a young adult novel—his first published work. His love for the island of Juist inspired him to write a series of crime novels set there. He worked closely with the Aurich/Wittmund police department for his research. Friends also encouraged him to write crime novels set in the Rheingau region, specifically in Rüdesheim. To this end, he exchanged information extensively with the West Hesse Police Headquarters in Wiesbaden and even presented his first Rüdesheim crime novel to the police. To date, he has written several crime novels set on Juist, in Rüdesheim, and on the Middle Rhine. He has also published a historical crime novel and a thriller that takes readers across Europe and is not set in any particular region. His books are self-published by “epubli” and KDP. The Rheingau, his adopted home, is a blessed region for him. The Rhine, which inspires him, and the wine he enjoys will continue to accompany him in the future – as he writes more stories that enrich life. His motto in life is: “I'm not in this world to be what you want me to be.”
