Missy Meyer was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, lived in Florida for a decade in order to work for the world's largest mouse, and then spend another decade in the scorching Arizona desert. She now lives in Portugal. Besides writing, she's held a strange variety of jobs, including singing improv comedian, game show host, bank teller, webmaster, pizza chef, accountant, notary public, ordained minister, camp counselor, and casino dealer.) She also drew the web comic "Holiday Doodles." Missy is married to Scott Meyer, the guy behind the web comic "Basic Instructions" and the author of "Off to Be the Wizard" and the Magic 2.0 series of books. They currently share their home with the two prettiest cats in the world.
