Rick Tippins was born in Ventura, California, and raised in Napa Valley. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired law enforcement lieutenant, he served in SWAT, Narcotics, and Homicide during a distinguished career with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. Rick began writing in 1994 during night shifts at the county jail. What started as screenwriting evolved into a passion for novels, leading to the release of A World Slowed and many other titles across post-apocalyptic, science fiction, and thriller genres. He is currently narrating his own work, with plans to make his full catalog available in audio format.
