Samuel M. Katz is a New York Times best-selling author and consultant who has written over twenty books and hundreds of articles on Middle East conflicts, law enforcement, terrorism, espionage, counterterrorism, and special operations. He is the New York Times bestselling co-author of Under Fire: The Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi; the book was featured in the August 2013 edition of Vanity Fair. His other recent books include The Ghost Warriors: Inside Israel’s Undercover War on Suicide Terror; Harpoon: Inside the Covert War Against International Terrorism’s Money Masters; Beirut Rules: The Murder of a CIA Station Chief and Hezbollah’s War Against America; and No Shadows in the Desert: Murder, Vengeance, and Espionage in the War Against ISIS, the first-ever examination of the inner workings of an Arab intelligence service; and The Architect of Espionage: The Man Who Built the Mossad into the World’s Boldest Intelligence Force, a biography of legendary Mossad director Meir Dagan.
