I was born in Northern California and spent most of my growing up years in Los Angeles. We moved a lot when I was a kid. My father was in the army, and we lived in Germany for a year when I was very young. My first husband and I moved to Texas in the early 1970's, and we raised our two sons here. I was widowed soon after a harrowing lung cancer diagnosis in 2002. I am remarried now and live on a Southeast Texas farm with my husband and my sister. My husband is my rock, and my sister is my true north.
