Sean T. Long is an Emmy Award–winning producer, bestselling author, and visionary leader whose career spans more than 30 years in television, publishing, and community impact. As the author of The Hustler's MBA series, Project 2030: The Agenda for Black America, and The Third Reconstruction: How Black America Will Win This Time, Sean blends storytelling, strategy, and lived experience into transformative blueprints for leadership, entrepreneurship, and social change. In The Hustler's MBA, he empowers readers to embrace resilience, ownership, and strategic thinking as essential tools for navigating business and life. With Project 2030, Sean delivers a groundbreaking roadmap for systemic reform, tackling economic empowerment, education, health justice, criminal justice reform, political power, and technological equity. In The Third Reconstruction, he presents a bold and urgent framework for how Black America reclaims power through ownership of capital, data, institutions, narratives, and infrastructure — arguing that the decisive battle of this era will be won not in the streets, but in the systems. Sean's media career has been marked by historic achievements. He has earned multiple Midwest Emmy Awards, including for A Tribute to Bernie Mac and Snapshots in Black History, and served as Executive Producer and Director of Tupac Shakur: Before I Wake, a top-selling international documentary. His expertise has shaped television programming strategies, launched channels, and created content that resonates with diverse audiences worldwide. As founder and principal of BJL Global, LLC, Sean serves as a strategic consultant and brand architect, helping organizations and leaders build with purpose and precision. He is also a doctoral candidate pursuing his Doctor of Business Administration at Edgewood University, where his research focuses on strategic content distribution models for independent media in the streaming era. Beyond media and publishing, Sean has led with distinction in community service. As the 38th Tenth District Representative of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he championed large-scale initiatives in education, health, and humanitarian aid. His efforts have earned national and international recognition, from Reggie Yates: To Live and Die in Chicago to honors including International Omega Man of the Year, Illini Media Hall of Fame inductee, and the Chicago Defender's "50 Men of Excellence." In every endeavor, Sean T. Long stands as a model of excellence, purpose, and impact. Whether producing groundbreaking documentaries, writing transformative books, building strategic enterprises, or mentoring the next generation of leaders, he consistently uses his platform to empower others and drive meaningful change. His passion for media, leadership, and service shines through everything he touches — and through his work, Sean continues to inspire people to strive for excellence, lead with integrity, and build lasting change in their communities.
