My name is Wanda W. Jerome. I am an award-winning poet and author who has been channeling spiritual messages in fixed and free poetry and prose during morning meditations and contemplations since 2022. New Mexico is my home, and I am fortunate to call our central Rio Grande river valley and Sandia Mountains my soul’s inspiration. Here I receive messages of love and light which I share to bring you hope and encouragement in these challenging times. My recent literary accomplishments include: February 2026: Journey Beyond the Veil: Awakening the Heart to Love (Book 1) WON GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE medals in the Classics 2025 READER VIEWS LITERARY AWARDS: Gold in Body/Mind/Spirit, Silver in Religion/Spirituality/Inspiration and Bronze in Poetry. December 2025: After the Journey: Returning the Heart to Home WON the Health-Addictions category, and both books were selected as Finalists in five categories including Poetry, Non-fiction New Age, Women's Issues, and Spirituality from LITERARY GLOBAL AWARDS. December 2025: THE AUDIBLE version of After the Journey: Returning the Heart to Home was released, once again narrated by Laurie Bower, narrator extraordinaire. Poetry books are becoming popular with audio lovers these days! Try them out! May 2025: THE AUDIBLE version of Journey Beyond the Veil: Awakening the Heart to Love was released. I am so glad to spread the impact of my poetry in every manner I can. Thanks to Laurie Bower, narrator extraordinaire, whose voice added so much to my words. May 2025: Journey Beyond the Veil: Awakening the Heart to Love WON the Poetry Book category and was a Finalist in both Spirituality and Women's Issues by the prestigious NEXT GENERATION INDIE BOOK AWARDS. I flew to Philadelphia in June 2025 to receive my award in person. April 2025: Crow Wisdom: A Seasonal Journey won 3RD PLACE in the Poetry Category for NEW MEXICO PRESS WOMEN in their Annual Communications Contest. 2024 - 2025: I received several prestigious awards from SOUTHWEST WRITERS for my haiku and earlier memoir Flying Fancy. I also have a number of publications in anthologies, including Fixed and Free (Billy Brown), Voices in my Head (Red Penguin), and Mosaic Voices (SW Writers). A forthcoming publication in Green - Anthologies for the World, Volume 1 (Red Penguin) is in press. September 2024: Magical Morning Moments: Awakening to Love and Light received the GOLD MEDAL AWARD from MILITARY WRITERS SOCIETY OF AMERICA in their Poetry Book category.
