Read by the author, comedian Darcy Michael, a hilarious memoir with a message about living with adult ADHD

What if ADHD isn't a disorder to overcome, but a superpower that makes you funnier, more creative, and more resilient? In Attention Seeker, comedian and card-carrying adult with ADHD Darcy Michael offers a fresh perspective on getting through the daily struggles that confront those on the neurofabulous end of the spectrum.

Darcy takes readers on a humorous-yet-heartfelt journey as he relates stories of growing up gay, getting married, and finding a career in comedy, all while navigating life with an attention-addled brain. From his early acting days on Spun Out to finding fame (and love) on the internet, Darcy shares all the dirty details (it’s NSFW, folks!) of how ADHD has shaped his identity, his relationships, and his work.

Peppered with asides from Darcy’s long-suffering husband Jer, advice for ADHDers both silly and serious, and words of wisdom from Yuma Dog herself, this laugh-out-loud guide is essential reading for anyone unpacking what ADHD means for them—or anyone who just wants to giggle.

Darcy Michael is a comedian who has dominated comedy for 15 years. An accomplished actor, Darcy Michael has appeared in TV shows & films such as Legends of Tomorrow, RapturePalooza, Lucifer, and The Twilight Zone. Darcy has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards and named a finalist in the SiriusXM Top Comic Competition and NBC's Stand Up for Diversity show. Pegged by the Montreal Gazette as one of their favorites at the Just for Laughs Festival - he has gone on to appear at the prestigious festival over ten times.

It was a book that made me not feel alone in my ADHD journey. I laughed, cried, and took a huge load…of dopamine, you creep! I am straight. 🙂 If Darcy & Jer read this, thank you for being beautiful souls and sharing your life with us in this book! I bought tickets to your Seattle Show March 2026 half way through the book after googling Spun Out and going down an ADHD rabbit hole!

I have followed Darcy and Jeremy since the beginning, Darcy is literally my spirit animal. Busy donkey is one of my favorite things to sing, Darcy's French laugh is what I hear most in my head these days. Reading or well listening to this book; because that's how I've found reading to be best for my ADHD, has been the absolute best book I've read thus far. It makes me smile. You guys make me smile, every video, every post. You guys are the most amazing! Thank you for coming into my life when I needed it the most !
