CHARMER: The Charmer Tour Edition

This is the MULTICAST DUET version of Charmer by Kayley Loring, narrated by Jason Clarke, Emma Wilder, Erin Mallon, and Teddy Hamilton. The content is the same as the original Jason Clarke and Mackenzie Cartwright dual-narrated version, which is still available. Jason Clarke sings all of the song lyrics in this multicast version and he plays guitar for most of the songs.

This author continues to write some of the best dialogue out there. It feels natural, quick, and genuinely funny. The kid characters are a standout too, they bring energy and humor without feeling forced. Emma’s kid voice is my favorite!

At its core, it is a classic setup. Boy falls for girl. Girl has baggage and holds back because she does not want to bring him down. He stays all in anyway. He is curious about her, patient, and steady. Total golden retriever energy, except he also happens to be a hot rock star that every other woman wants.

The audiobook is what makes this next level. Jason Clarke does not just narrate, he performs. The guitar, the lyrics, the singer-songwriter feel all add something you do not usually get. A lot of his recent work leans on that deep voice, which is great, but when he sings, you hear range, tone, and personality. It makes the character more real and a lot more likable.

Such a bonus to have Teddy and Erin play side characters as they are really funny!!

This felt like a complete package. Story, chemistry, and music all working together. I want more of this version of audiobook.

Every story about a performer should include performance!!!

JASON CLARKE SINGING!!!!!

This was such a great story. it was sweet, love at first sight for him and she had a crush at first sight. Then you have Jason Clarke singing. we need more of that. he is so good. you can just tell he was enjoying this book so much. I also love that it was a multi cast. everyone was so good. I love the emma wilder and Jason clarke combo. there wasn't a 3rd act breakup which i liked.

overall, this was an amazing story. so cute and sweet and just a lovely story. and did i mention Jason Clarke sings!!!? buy this book.

Really appreciate the "Tour" version!

Started off as a Jason Clarke fan, which is what made me buy this audio, but he really went above and beyond in this. Nico's character feels alive and real and the relationship with all the other characters is wonderful. Love the little interludes with Nico's song writing notebook and Kat's video notebook. Having Jason Clarke sing was an amusing bonus. Also, kudos to the narrator for making Tate's voice actually sound like a child - it's one of the few times in an audiobook that I haven't found a child's voice annoying. A great listen overall!

I loved it

great writing and fantastic narration equals a great audiobook. Im a big fan of Kayley and all the narrators. Hearing Emma and Erin in the same book is such a treat. Thank you for this fantastic audiobook

Blown away

I loved this new edition of this story. Kudos to adding Nico (Jason Clark) singing his songs. Love how Nico and Shane have such a close bromance. Grammy Todd is hoot as is Lou. Love me another Bon Jovi fan. I also would never make the Ricky rules of the road. All around feel good book. The story moved along and progressed just right. What brought the story to life were the narrators. Jason and Emma Wilder brought the story to life that you felt like you were right there with them. I had goosebumps as the closing credits ran.
