Not a mystery story but multi romances with a mystery in background

Lots of romances with a mystery in the background. Some romances are going places, others are spelling out a coming disaster. Character development is all well and good but unlike the great mystery writers, it is the romances placed center stage. The mystery should be important.

I wanted a mystery, not romances with characters I grew to hate….
