Plot

The woman’s voice did the male’s; audible always more enjoyable in two voices.
When reading, the reader can imagine the physical attributes of a character. A woman miming a man takes that enjoyment away.

Worth it!

Katherine Center just knows how to deliver :) This little story makes me happy in a way so many longer books just don't. I'd recommend picking this one up!

Sweet Cozy Second Chance Short Story

Everybody’s Favorite Guy is a second chance, opposites attract short story that makes for a great palate cleanser or a quick read when you’re short on time.

This is a sweet, cozy romance you’ll want to curl up with. I was surprised by how connected I felt to Walker and Lily considering the shorter format. There was more depth than I expected, with moments that tugged at my heart and made it ache just a little.

For such a quick listen, the story still delivered on emotion and character connection—but the ending felt very abrupt. I wish we got a little more of how things played out. I wasn’t quite ready to let them go.

If you’re looking for a feel-good, bite-sized romance, this one is worth adding to your TBR. Perfect for when you want something light, cozy, and easy to finish in one sitting.

Ellie Gossage did an outstanding job with the narration. She brought the story to life and played a big part in the connection I felt to the characters. Her performance draws you in and makes you want to stay a while.

This was just ok

There was no build up of tension or longing. It was like an assignment that needed to be turned in.

Lily and Walker’s friends to enemies to lovers story had me totally engaged as I laughed, sighed, and swooning from start to finish! They were close since they were kids and their feelings for each other grew as they did. But something happened to rip them apart breaking their young hearts. Now years later after avoiding each other for years, their mother's need their help. When circumstances suddenly force them together, they finally face the hurt and feelings they thought were long buried. I loved Lily and Walker and the awkward, hilarious, and moving way they finally find their way back to each other was entertaining and priceless!
Narrator, Ellie Gossage, did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. This is my first listen to her work, and I really enjoyed her flawlessly delivery of all the fun banter, emotion, and steam. I really enjoyed this quick, steamy story about friends, family and love. I didn't want it to end!
