Story is good but I might be biased.

First off, male narrator was good. Female narrator was not. Her cadence and awkward pauses make it challenging to listen to. Storyline wise, I really liked it but I was a college rower so not sure the appeal level to someone unfamiliar with the sport. A few things bugged me and the all fall under the same topic “words the English and for the matter Europeans do not use” ( I am married to one so I’m going to speak with authority here). I’ll use one example but there were a few. My example is “bathroom”. The say loo or toilet but not bathroom. Overall, I liked the story, it was a bit long and I wanted more character development for all. Would make a good series.

After reading the other reviews, I'm glad to know it wasn't just me who found the female narrator's cadence annoying. I'm still hoping to finish listening. It has helped some that I changed the speed to 1.2x.
I like the storyline so far. I do wish there had been a little more character building in the beginning. The storyline has gotten really good reviews, so I will try to keep listening although I'm not enjoying the narration.

I found this story to be very engaging and it really kept my attention. I know nothing about rowing so I learned a lot!

A MMC with a British accent, um yes please lol. I’m usually not a sports romance type of girl but I really liked this one. I even found myself on pins and needles during meets it was crazy entertaining and engaging.

Really kept my interest

I did not know anything about boat races in the UK. This book really was exciting and sexy. Can't wait for more like this.
