Omg I was wanting more in the first book just as the spice HIT Donovan "Troy" says "THE END"!!! AAAHHHHHHH why when it's getting soooooo damm good the abrupt ending.... overall amazing book I'm sssooooo glad I waited to find the book on audible 😍😍😍😍

Feel like the depth is really going to be there in the next book!

This was a fantastic 1st book. I feel like there is more to the back story of the FMC’s experiences that we haven’t learned yet, and the MMC was so emotionally intelligent and the way he made sure there wasn’t miscommunication between them made me want to drool. I love that he pushes her gently, and the dragons were done SO well. Liked them just as much if not more than the dragons from fourth wing. It felt like everything I loved from fourth wing with a new, fresh take, and I can’t wait for the next book to be available! Will definitely be getting some shelf trophies for this series.

I’m Obsessed! Fourth wing…but almost better?!

I waited until midnight to buy this audible just to realize it doesn’t release at midnight on Eastern Time. I literally woke up and saw 6am and immediately purchased it half asleep. I’ve read 84 books in 2025 and can’t even tell you what happened in 1/4 of them . This book along with Flameborne:Fury, stay rent free in my head. This is better than Silver Elite and Quicksilver by far. IT’s better than Fourth wing… and I’m obsessed with fourth wing. I’m more excited for Shadowborne than I am for the 4th Empyrean series book. This duet has everything you could possibly want in a book. Dragons, Slowburn, Age Gap, forbidden romance, im your instructor, touch her and unalive, If you want smut… holy sh*t wait until flameborne fury. Which was probably one of the best smuttiest books I’ve read. i can go on about this book forever! Ya know all of those book trailers on fb that are addicting and they all say “if you like fourth wing, you’ll love this” and it’s disappointing… that’s not this book. The most 4th wing vibes but unique story line and I just know where the next book(hopefully) is going and I cannot wait for someone to get …ruined.

I went into this book with some skepticism but the reviews were pretty positive. I was not disappointed. A great plot, performance and characters. You will not be disappointed. I bought the second book before I finished the first!!
