A little Hunger Gamesish

It was good, a nice way to spend my hours drive to work everyday. I will listen to the next book to see what happens next :)

Addictive Romantasy with Phenomenal Narration!

Wow, I was not expecting the book to end the way it did, and I can’t wait to read the next book in July! This is a well written, past paced book with court intrigue, deadly trials, enemies to lovers, and I think there are many hidden secrets we have yet to discover. There are joys and many losses to celebrate with Rose throughout the book, with many twists along the way. I highly recommend this as your next read, you won’t regret it!

Duet (not dual) narration perfection! Games & Trials

If you are a fan of games and trial like the “hunger games” you will enjoy this book. This is similar to a certain degree but also its own thing completely. It’s a magical world. There are dire wolves. There is training with the worry of being killed. Alliances will be formed even though there is meant to be one winner. And there is a “loose” enemies to lovers trope. It’s not full on hatred when attraction immediately exists. But I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book is

Personal opinion when it comes to audiobooks…NOTHING compared to Duet or full cast duet narration when you want your audience to gain the most value from your story. So thank you for choosing this narration style. If you don’t know what that means, it’s when the male narrator reads ONLY male voices and parts and the female narrator reads ONLY female voices and parts. This is the narration style of this audiobook. Makes it feel more conversational and real

Dual narration is when the male narrator will read BOTH male and female voices and the female narrator will read BOTH female and male parts. This feels more like one person reading a few chapters of the story out loud to you and then passing the book to someone else to read a few chapters out loud to you.

I can’t wait to continue reading this series on audio. Both narrators are FANTASTIC.

Slowish burn for spice 🌶️🌶️

Nice conflict and twists

Fourth wing meets the triwizard cup. It’s good! The audio engineer should be fired though for the male voice actor not having good equalization or compression. If you listen on headphones the bass frequencies are INSANELY loud and feel completely disjointed from the story. Sounds like the male voice actor tried wayyy too hard at the start of the book to be sexy and it was more unnerving then asmr. I ultimately had to listen exclusively on my phone speakers to cut down on the bass frequencies.

Captivating story

From the start of this book to the end I was enthralled. The characters are amazing and have great depth. The story leaves you on the edge of your seat while still providing enough information that you know who to root for. I am beyond excited for book two and I will absolutely be reading this one again.
