Great version of an excellent book

I usually dislike dramatized adaptations, but this was a rare exception. I love this book and love this version of it. I’m not convinced this (or any of Hendrix’s works) qualifies as “horror,” but it (in classic Hendrix fashion) has strong characters with complicated relationships confronting odd situations with a supernatural bent. There’s wit and humor, idiocy and annoyance, and a slash of goofiness cutting through a rather sophisticated exploration of familial love, loss, competition, generational secrets and grief. The radical puppet collective is icing on the cake. Cocka-wee-wee!

Really drags, weird character development. Predictable

No idea why this is rated so highly.

Both main characters are whiny and boring, almost didn't finish but I paid for this dumpster fire, may as well see if it gets better.

It doesn't.

The ending is kind of okay but with the poor character backstory and random characters that have no development it just isn't worth it.

Listening to evil almost drone on and on and on was only bearable at 1.5 speed.

Rollercoster

I was about to stop listening, but at 5hrs, things got serious. I highly recommend this book, I finished this 12hr book in two days! Don’t let the first little bit discourage you, it sets the foundation for an amazing twisty story!

The incredible imagination & horror was oddly perfect. Puppets. Who knew lol

I honestly loved this, runs on a bit but it was a fun listen! Bravo !

a perfect audiobook of a fantastic story

This version of the audiobook is by far one of my all time favorites. I devoured this story so fast. I will probably come back to it multiple times a year.
