This book is incredible—a powerful and emotional look at what has been happening in America and what still needs to change. It broke my heart page by page, stirred anger at times, and ultimately inspired me to support justice and meaningful progress.

While it doesn’t directly name current political movements, it clearly reflects how the United States has, in many ways, slipped back toward the injustices of the 1960s and earlier.
