Only the Lovely is book #3 in The Sinful State Series. This series is all things I love - a great story, strong characters, believable intrigue, and steamy scenes that make your heart melt! Brie and Adrian had an unforgettable weekend in Monaco. But she was Sophie then, undercover for the CIA, and running from a threat. She disappeared as quickly as she could because Adrian made her wish for things she couldn't have. Now she part of the KONE security team and Adrian is part of her next mission. Man, these two just make your breath hitch every time they get around each other. Adrian owns very luxurious social clubs around the world and I absolutely LOVED when Brie kept calling them sex clubs! This second chance romance is another great installment in this high-stakes thrilling series. Do NOT miss this!!


The duet narration was absolute perfection. Gary Furlong and Lucy Rivers are seriously phenomenal narrators that brought this story to a new level of awesome for me. The angst, the banter, the steam...delicious! 5/5 yacht-rocking stars!! 🌟

Wow! So Good!

I love a book full of mystery, danger and intrigue and Isabel certainly delivered in this story.
This is book 3 in The Sinful State Series which follows Brie, an ex CIA operative and now KOAN Security Group member plus entrepreneur Adrian, the man who she met and walked away from over 3 years ago.
Shocked at seeing the one woman that he could never get over, who fled and could never be located, Adrian swears that this time he will not let her disappear.
Working together is the only answer to get to the bottom of the issues and evil that have infiltrated his business.
An amazing web of secrets and deceit that will have you wondering just how far this will go and who will end up paying the price.
I loved every minute of this story that intertwined passion, mystery and danger perfectly into a steamy, thrilling read.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lucy Rivers and Gary Furlong.
I was so impressed by their performance, they at times kept me on the edge of my seat as the story progressed.
I’d recommend reading / listening to this book as I thoroughly enjoyed both the story and narration.

Suspenseful romance with amazing narrators

Isabel has such a unique writing style. Her characters are intelligent, and the story flows smoothly, keeping your interest the entire time. Only the Lovely is not just a romance novel, it’s also suspenseful and will have you on the edge of your seat.

This is a slow burn with lots of tension and emotional connection, and when we finally get there, the spice is written in a really sensual way.

The narrators were perfect for their roles and did an amazing job. I especially enjoyed Gary Furlong’s performance, his voice is so sensual and commanding. Lucy Rivers was incredible as well, she never disappoints and portrayed Brie beautifully.

Narration makes this book soar

A tension filled book that had me hooked from the first word. I listened to the audiobook. The narration added to the suspense, and I really felt Bree's and Adrian's, in particular, emotions in ways that go beyond what seems possible in the written world. It was immersive.


Gary Furlong brought Adrian to life--I felt his surprise at seeing Bree again, his fear for her later in the book, his obsession with her, and his anger at having trusted the wrong people. Lucy Rivers does a great job of conveying Bree's struggles with figuring out who she is given she has spent years undercover, adopting different identities.


Duet narration is always a great way to engage with a book and I highly recommend it!

Bound together

Being power and money hungry have been the backbone of many stories. Yearning and desire so intense it jumps off the pages. A tale of searching and longing leftover from a stolen weekend years ago that makes your heart sing. You think you’re prepared for what’s to come, but this book does a one eighty to that and takes you through an epic tale of lies, deceit, and corruption that are bound to be exposed in the most interesting of ways. Brie and Adrien’s passion can be felt with each word and interaction. Their flame burns bright and hot, and they’re so explosive, you feel the tremors. But the beauty of their story is the down to earth and real connection they reignite while trying to solve the dilemma that threw them back together. It’s one that makes you smile, blush, and scream, and keeps you going back for more. As with a great audiobook, you get immersed in the telling and feel the emotions and passion.
