Great performance

Short story but it has you hooked in trying to understand what happened to bring on this supernatural craze. James Cassidy was *chefs kiss*

What a cool story.
I really loved this dystopian world filled with mythological creatures and danger at every corner. The Rift concept was intense from the start, the world literally cracks open and suddenly myths aren’t myths anymore. Survival is brutal, and the stakes are high.
Alex, our FMC, was such a standout for me. She has a funny, sarcastic inner monologue, she’s strong-willed, and she doesn’t just roll over when things get hard. I loved her resilience and the way she adapts to this terrifying new world.
And the MMCs?
We have:
* a sexy GI Joe-type soldier (her description, not mine 😏)
* and a broody, mysterious General who absolutely commands every scene he’s in

Both are intriguing in very different ways, and I cannot wait to see where these relationships go.

Now let’s talk about the AUDIO.
The narration made this incredible.
Amanda Leigh Cobb was amazing, I loved every nuanced line delivery and emotional shift. She brought Alex to life perfectly.
James Cassidy? Spectacular. I swear I felt those growls in my bones.
And Ryan Lee Dunlap has such a strong, captivating voice, I definitely need to listen to more from him.
What a great cast. What great production.

That ending was unexpected, and I am absolutely ready for book two.

Wow, great story!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book. It delivers strong buildup, compelling intrigue, and the perfect mix of drama, suspense, and slow-burn romance with great banter. The world-building was immersive and gave me a real connection to the characters. The audiobook narration was also fantastic and brought the story to life. An excellent first installment, I can’t wait for the next one!

I need the next book!

This was actually really good!! I was not expecting to really enjoy this but it was definitely worth it! There is Greek mythology and dark lords. There is the “night in shining armor” but with blonde hair and blue eyes you get lost in. Especially when you get lost in them with strong arms around you. But then you have the darker man that captivates you at every turn, especially when the marks on you call to him. But is he truly who you think he is?

The audio for this book was absolutely incredible. The duet style of 4 amazing narrators for this was absolutely amazing. E.M. Ritchie, Amanda Leigh Cobb, Ryan Lee Dunlap, and the amazing James Cassidy! It was the first for all but James and I’m here for it. 4 star review!!

Apocalyptic Fantasy

The narration is amazing! Finding voice actors that know how to read a story as if they are live acting isn’t always perfect, but this is a good example of how it’s done. I love the story. It’s different than my usual fantasy read and I’m excited for the next book! 5/5 Would recommend.
