Right in the feels, again

There is an obvious theme to Dinniman’s writing, but it’s not a case of telling the same story with a new veneer. Here we have “the dangers of AI” and “the horrors that people can inflict on each other” (themes common in his other works) but told via the experiences of a group of farmers on a colony planet that was just targeted by Earth for unknown reasons. And the story is again about the *people*, not just the setting. Really satisfying read and extremely well done.

A Disturbing Mirror

I should have known, having read Diniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl series that he would be holding a mirror onto the best and the worst impulses that we share as humans. Well done.

Fantastic world building

This was a slow start for me, but you get into it, the story and world building are so much fun. Narration was really good and I'm definitely looking forward to where this story goes moving forward.

Matt has done it again.

A long time reader of DCC here and if you love Carl and Donut, boy howdy, are you in for a treat. Operation Bounce House is a fun pop culture smorgasbord. Poking fun at all of the hypocrisy in today's world. Absolutely loved this and can't wait for more from Matt. This is an OUTRAGE that there isn't more right now. Thank you Matt.
